In this session we will walk through a small, sample analytics project that participants can emulate. It will include a blueprint for governance and a project plan that incorporates the best practices associated with Agile project management. A short technical demonstration will encourage managers and technologists to try it at home.
Judith Thompkins has over 30 years of experience in software and database architecture and development, as well as program and project management. Currently, as Resolvit's Solutions Director for Enterprise Data Management & Analytics she serves as a subject matter expert for firm delivery and initiatives. Her work on the Data Management Maturity Model (DMM) developed by Carnegie Mellon's CMMI Institute earned her a credit on the groundbreaking work; and she is one of the world's first data experts to receive its Enterprise Data Management Expert certification. Judith applies a wide range of strategies, data management systems, and languages to solve problems for commercial, defense, and government clients. She served as Associate Director (IT) for a federal agency and has led colleagues, teams and clients in software development and consulting firms, including Booz Allen Hamilton where she trained and led Data Quality and Enterprise Data Management communities of interest.
