Financial services institutions, particularly large ones, are leaders in their use of data and analytics, making financial services a pioneering industry in this space. As small and medium sized financial institutions, including credit unions, are growing and evolving their capabilities, they have a great opportunity to become analytics driven organizations by leveraging predictive analytics. This opportunity has become stronger as the strategic value of analytics is recognized by CEOs and boards of directors, it is integrated into the organization’s long term goals, and as access to resources and technology has become easier.

Partners Federal Credit Union is one of the top credit unions in the country, exclusively serving more than 100,000 cast members of The Walt Disney Company. I will share with you our journey to proactively transform Partners Federal Credit Union into an analytics driven organization, maximizing today’s ever growing data volumes to create business value to our Members. Specifically, I will cover:

  • How to develop a roadmap for analytics that drives business value and is aligned with the maturity and resources of the organization
  • Why it is critical to stay focused on the fundamentals of analytics, as well as on the balance between people, process, and technology
  • How available technologies, such as the cloud, can be leveraged to enable faster, more efficient implementation of the analytics roadmap
  • Best practices to foster change management and secure executive support to pursue and implement the analytics roadmap


Juan F. Gorricho is currently the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Partners Federal Credit Union. In this role, Juan leads the data and analytics strategy development and execution for Partners, one of the top credit unions in the country, exclusively serving the more than 100,000 cast members of The Walt Disney Company. Juan has more than 15 years of experience in the data and analytics space including multiple speaking engagements. In his prior roles with Disney, Juan led multiple multimillion dollar projects to implement business intelligence and analytical solutions for key lines of business such as Labor Operations, and Merchandise. Juan has an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
