Every business leader in every industry faces some version of the same problem: market complexity. Exponential technologies, empowered customers, and macro volatility have joined forces to turn every market into a high-velocity environment with accelerating complexity. We’re quickly approaching the point where this complexity will outsmart and out-model even the smartest and most data-savvy of enterprises. In this “Business Singularity”, simple business intelligence or even machine learning simply won’t create the kind of insight capability or competitive advantage necessary to turn complexity into opportunity. So what’s then? This talk will explain how true Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Computing can be layered on top of existing business analytics systems to create even more powerful insights, and what machine super-intelligence means for human cognition in the enterprise.

Yves Bergquist is a data scientist and competitive strategist who loves to solve complex problems through the joint application of systems thinking and machine learning. He is currently focused on applying AI and machine learning to audience measurement and segmentation.

He is a quant and strategist looking at business, technology and societal problems through both quantitative and qualitative lenses. He was part of the founding team at Singularity University, a partnership between NASA and Google, which aims to "assemble, educate and inspire a cadre of leaders to understand the development of exponentially advancing technologies."
